Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

Summer is quickly approaching. Let’s get refreshed with some homemade Lemonade! Here are three, simple and easy to follow recipes.

  • Sugar & Water – Dissolve sugar in boiling water
  • Lemon Juice – obviously, you’ll need lemon juice to make it – squeeze fresh lemons
  • Add ice to make sure it’s cold and smooth for a hot day
  • Pour cold water into a pitcher, stir in the lemon juice and pulp, then add your sugar and water syrup to taste and serve over ice. You can garnish your glass with a candied lemon peel.

This recipe is a Mediterranean-style mint lemonade and is served in Middle Eastern countries like Egypt. The tip to keep in mind here is to blend the majority of the lemons or limes with the skin on, it’ll add flavour and texture to the lemonade.

  • Get your blender
  • Add all the crushed ice, water, 2 cut lemons, juice of 1 lemon, fresh mint, and sugar to the pitcher of your blender
  • Cover and push blend or liquefy until you achieve the desired drink consistency
  • Taste and add more sugar or mint leaves if you’d like and blend again
  • Pour the lemonade into a serving pitcher through the mesh strainer and add fresh mint leaves to the pitcher
  • You can refrigerate until you are ready to serve

  • Add water and raw honey to a pot or saucepan over medium heat
  • Stir just until the honey is dissolved
  • Remove the honey water from the heat
  • In a large pitcher or container, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and water
  • Add the raw honey mixture, as needed, until you reach the right amount of sweetness
  • Refrigerate until chilled and then serve over ice
